Walton County ARES Weekly Net Script

 

Is this frequency in use? (pause and listen)

 

CQ, CQ, CQ. This is the Walton County Georgia Amateur Radio Emergency Service Net. This is a directed net. Please direct all communications through the net control station unless otherwise instructed.

(pause and listen)

 

This net is being conducted on a frequency of 147.270 MHz, with a positive offset and a PL tone of 88.5 Hz.  We conduct this net every Monday at 20:30 hrs local time. (un-key, short pause)

 

The purpose of this net is to promote the Amateur Radio Emergency Service program in and around Walton County Georgia.  We will also use this net  for preparedness training, the sharing of ideas and information, to pass traffic, and drill for net procedures. (pause and listen)

 

Your Net Control Station is <call sign>. My name is <your name>.  And I am located in <your location/town>. (pause and listen)

 

Is there any emergency or priority traffic? (pause and listen)

 

Is there any routine ARES traffic? (If there is traffic listed, pass traffic at this time)

 

If you would like to become a member of the Amateur Radio Emergency Service, please notify the Net Control Station.

When you check in, please notify net control if you have an announcement, formal traffic, or if you have no traffic for the net.

Please give your call sign, then say it phonetically, tell us your name, and where you are currently located. (pause and listen)

 

We will now go into our roll call.

Calling any Walton County ARES Officers; this includes our Emergency Coordinator, Assistant Emergency Coordinators, and their assistants.  ARES Officers, please check in now. (pause and listen)
